My name is Melany Perez Santiesteban. My parents and best friends call me Mel. I spent most of my childhood in Cuba and moved to the United States in 2016. I was born on February 24th, 2005. From the first time I was able to explore throughout the internet and social media I found myself drawn to interior designs, decoration, and marketing. I've spent some time on small projects around my house while researching more about what interior design is and all its components. As one of my goals I aspire to have my own firm as a professional interior designer and decorator while being able to understand how social media and marketing strategies work so that I can promote my work. One of the ways to achieve my goal is by starting my journey at the University of Louisville where I already got accepted as a pre- business marketing major and I plan to later on join the interior design program as a minor.

I try to upgrade my knowledge and skill by following short courses on Coursera.org, looking up images of different styles and by following interior designer's pages on social media.
